Beyond the resort...

La Torre Golf Resort is only 15 Km from the best beaches of the Mar Menor, and half way between these beaches and the city of Murcia. This makes it the ideal location for exploring everything the Region of Murcia has to offer, including the El Valle Nature Reserve which is only a few kilometres from the resort.

Costa Calida

Two seas on one coastline - the Mar Menor and the Mediterranean - impressive cliffs, heavenly beaches of endless white sand, lively ports and wild coves with crystal clear water, more than 3,000 hours of sun a year and mild temperatures - even in winter - with a yearly average of more than 18ºC. This is the Costa Cálida, the ideal place to spend some days relaxing both in winter and summer.

From the fishing town of Aguilas to the white dunes of the beach of El Mojon in San Pedro del Pinatar, stretch kilometre after kilometre of beaches and deserted coves awaiting the arrival of the bather, the sailor, the diver or the fisherman. In addition, there are delightful picturesque fishing villages, like La Azohia or Cabo de Palos where you can lose yourself for a few days; ports like the one in Mazarron where you can spend a lively evening and enjoy its magnificent gastronomy after a day on the beach; heavenly areas of natural beauty, unique in the whole Mediterranean, at the beaches of Calblanque and Calnegre... and one of the most highly considered tourist complexes in the Mediterranean: La Manga del Mar Menor, a paradise between two seas with infinite beaches, sandy sea beds and crystalline waters.

Furthermore, fans of water sports will find it all..!

Watersports

Murcia offers a wide choice of watersports activities to suit everyone. The shallow waters of the Mar Menor is ideal for beginners and the Med itself is beckoning for the more experienced sailor. Windsurfers will love La Mota beach, a completely natural course for speed, taking advantage of the wind without taking any risks of the sea.. Along the coast there are extensive beaches used for diving - all situated in the Salinas Regional Park.

The best place to get the most up to date information is the Murcia Tourist Board - www.murciaturistica.es

Los Alcazares

A typical Spanish seaside town, is situated along the Mar Menor and boasts miles of sandy beaches only 15 minutes away. Playa Manzanares and Playa De Los Narejos hold the 'Blue Flag' title. Take a wander or bike ride along the 2 mile promenade and stop and relax at one of the many bars and restaurants overlooking the sea. The town has all the necessary amenities you require and new restaurants and bars are continually opening.

San Pedro del Pinatar

A quiet tranquil village and has a beautiful long beach again within 20 minutes of La Torre. Salinas y Arenales is an important wetland area, famous for its bird wildlife and in particular flamingos that gather before migrating to warmer climates. Wander along the walkways around the salt lakes which lead to beautiful dunes and sandy beaches with crystal clear waters. Adjoining San Pedro, is Lo Pagan with its therapeutic mud baths, known for its minerals known to be effective against arthritis and rheumatism.

Puerto de Mazzaron

A small fishing port with plenty of un-spoilt beaches and coves nearby. It has a small marina with many seafood restaurants and bars to choose from. The Sunday Market is a popular tourist attraction. This coastline is popular for sailing and diving.

Calblanque

Lying just south of La Manga and the Mar Menor on the Costa Calida, province of Murcia, Spain, is a rare stretch of unspoilt Mediterranean coastline known as Calblanque. Now officially named as a Natural Park the area is protected from the development which has spoiled much of the neighbouring coastline. Calblanque is an area of exceptional beauty and tranquility with fine golden, sandy beaches and clear, sparkling waters. It stretches along 13 km of the coast and consists of beaches, peaceful coves, ancient sand dunes, stunning rock formations, beautiful walking trails and pine forests.

The clear blue Mediterranean waters attract scuba divers from all over the world and it is an ideal location for this more modern pursuit. There are many peaceful coves to explore and due to the remoteness of the area you may even find yourself alone in one of these coves and sit and imagine yourself as Robinson Crusoe marooned on a desert island.
